Bryan Jones has left the City of Fresno for Carlsbad, CA. Scott Tyler, P.E., who was Assistant Traffic Engineering Manager, has been appointed City Traffic Engineer.

This means that Scott will be attending all Bicycle/Pedestrian Advisory Committee meetings. BPAC meets on the fourth Thursday of every month at Fresno City Hall. Thursday June 23rd will be his first meeting. If you don’t make it to these meetings regularly, you might want to consider attending this meeting. You’ll get to meet Scott and the committee will be discussing their plans and goals for helping along the implementation of the city’s Bicycle Master Plan.

It’s 2010. It will be Spring as soon as this rain stops. And Bike Month is just weeks away! The 2010 Corporate Challenge is scheduled for Bike to Work Day, Wednesday May 19th 2010. It’s time to activate your team!

The Corporate Challenge organizers want to show you some love, so plan to join us at the equally-as-awesome-as-you annual Corporate Challenge Team Captain’s Meeting, which is a go for Wednesday, April 28th at Veni Vidi Vici from 5:30 to 6:30pm.

The monthly general meeting of the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition will take place this Thursday, January 21st. We hope you can join us. Topics of conversation will include:

• Report of Statewide bicycle advocacy at CABO from Nick.
• Report of recent training and Tour de Fresno 2010 plans from the TdF sub-committee.
• Bike to work Month 2010 planning
