Riding your bike downtown on Bike to Work Day? In honor of Bike Month, there will be an official Bike Month Proclamation before the Fresno City Council on Bike to Work Day this year! Bike Month is a national event sponsored annually by the League of American Bicyclists. See the Bike Month Guide.
The Fresno cycling community is invited to join FCBC, the City of Fresno Active Transportation Advisory Committee (ATAC), and City Staff for the Proclamation of May is Bike Month at the Fresno City Council at 10 AM on Thursday, May 16, 2024 to celebrate the positive impacts bicycling and bicyclists have made in our community, as well as to promote better bicycling conditions and safer streets and roads for everyone.
This year the Bike Month Proclamation will be sponsored by Councilmembers Mike Karbassi and Tyler Maxwell, and Council President Analisa Perea. At the Council meeting, Mayor Dyer will be presenting his 2024-25 Mayor's Budget to City Council, so stick around to see what is to be funded for active transportation in this year's budget, and to let the Mayor and Councilmembers you value their support for biking!
