Join Fresno, California, and communities worldwide on November 17 for the World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims. This global event honors those who have lost their lives or been injured in roadway collisions. It’s a crucial moment to raise awareness, advocate for safer streets, and demand changes to prevent future tragedies.

On Sunday, November 17, families of traffic crash victims, politicians and street safety advocates will gather at Fresno City Hall to commemorate World Day of Remembrance for Road Traffic Victims and to call for:

  • Finding a dedicated funding source for Vision Zero Projects particularly through Measure C.

  • Improved coordination between City and County so see that projects in Fresno must continue through County islands.

  • Asking the public and elected officials to get involved with the Vision Zero Action Plan, stay involved once published by attending upcoming Vision Zero Action Plan public engagement events

(The Vision Zero Survey is currently out for public input as part of outreach. A link to the survey can be found here:

    Vision Zero Survey

  • Creation of a formal Ghost Bike / Roadside Memorials Policy that supports the needs of crash victims and their families

Join family members of road way collision victims, the Active Transportation Advisory Committee, Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, elected officials, community leaders, including people available to share their experiences of being injured or losing loved ones  in traffic crashes.
