The grand finale to Bike Month will be a Clean California Mural Ride to see the newest murals painted in Fresno with funding from Clean California, Governor Newsom's initiative to clean and beautify California's roadsides and public spaces.
This will be the first organized viewing of many of the murals, as most will be completed in May, and some may be works in progress. Murals are being painted on freeway columns and slope paving. A large mural at Romain Park that was unveiled in December will also be viewed. Artists and staff from the Fresno Arts Council will be on hand to describe the works.
The ride will be 4 miles long and will begin at San Pablo Park and will include stops at Romain Park and freeway undercrossings at Fresno Street, Abby Street, and Blackstone Avenue.
This ride is being done in collaboration with the Fresno County Bicycle Coalition, Caltrans, Beautify Fresno, Fresno PARCS Department, and the Fresno Arts Council.
