PART II: Parking lot drills and road course. You will need to complete Part I separately if you have not already, and want the certificate.

Traffic Skills 101 (TS101) gives cyclists the confidence they need to ride safely and legally in traffic or on the trail. Through TS101, students learn how to conduct bicycle safety checks, fix a flat, on-bike skills and crash avoidance techniques. We recommended this class for adults and children above age fourteen. The curriculum is fast-paced, nine-hours, and prepares cyclists for a full understanding of vehicular cycling.

This class will include an independent study component at bikeleague.org. Please register at this Web site and complete the four quizzes before class begins on Saturday afternoon. Bring a printout of your quiz scores, or send an email to Ed by the beginning of class.

Saturday afternoon will allow us to complete the classroom portion you began in independent study. We will review for the written test. We will also plan for the outdoor portion of class.

Sunday morning will be spent in the parking lot mastering the crash avoidance maneuvers, and on the road practicing the road course. By the end of the day we will have completed the road test and the written test, and you will all have your certificates!
